Taegwondo

White Tiger Style Taegwondo Spelled Taekwon-Do, Taekwondo and Tae Kwon Do - all the same word that is Korean and means - as it was defined when the word was created, "The Art of Smashing With The Hand, and Obliterating with the Foot." The new romanization of this word is Taegwondo, and that is what will be used on this site.
White Tiger Style Taegwondo is based on Chang Hon style Taegwondo as originally taught by General Choi Hong Hi, the founder of ITF.

It starts with a good foundation in stances, flexibility and movement, and slowly adds to your basic attributes (speed, strength and flexibility) while also adding techniques by level (9 levels to black belt). By the time you are a black belt you are expected to have a good mix of punches, kicks and other strikes, plus an understanding of how to use them.
